Privacy Policy
Effective Date: 4/28/2026

1. Introduction

Welcome to iBlink, a product of ScreenWell Labs Inc. ("we", "our", or "us"). We are committed to protecting your personal data and respecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website, use our desktop application, or engage with our services.

2. Core Privacy Principle: Local Video Processing

The core functionality of the iBlink desktop application involves monitoring your eye blinks to promote visual health. We do not transmit, record, store, or share your camera feed or raw facial imagery. All video processing and blink detection using facial landmarks occur strictly locally on your device.

3. Information We Collect

While we do not collect facial data, we do collect certain information to provide and improve our services:

  • Account Information: When you register for an account, we collect your name, email address, password (securely hashed via our auth provider), and account preferences.
  • Usage Data: We may collect anonymized telemetry related to app usage, such as session durations, feature interactions, and error logs to help us identify bugs and improve the software.
  • Device Information: We generate and store a unique Device ID, and we log your device's host name and operating system version. This is necessary to manage licensing quotas, enforce product key activations, and provide appropriate software updates.
  • Support Data: If you contact us for support, we keep a record of that correspondence to assist you effectively.

4. Payments and Subscriptions

We use a trusted third-party payment processor, Stripe, to handle all transactions. We do not directly collect or store your payment card details (like credit card numbers or security codes). Stripe processes your payment information in accordance with their own strict privacy policies and security standards. We only receive confirmation of payment, billing cycle status, and tokenized metadata to grant you access to our software.

5. Medical Disclaimer

iBlink and ScreenWell Labs Inc. provide software designed to encourage healthy screen habits. Our software is not a medical device. The data collected and displayed by iBlink is for informational purposes only and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition. You should always consult with a qualified healthcare or eye care professional regarding any health concerns.

6. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

  • To provide, operate, and maintain the iBlink software and website.
  • To manage your account, verify your identity, and enforce licensing agreements.
  • To process transactions and send related information, including purchase confirmations and invoices.
  • To send technical notices, updates, security alerts, and administrative messages.
  • To protect against, investigate, and deter fraudulent, unauthorized, or illegal activity.

7. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We may share your information only in the following situations:

  • Service Providers: With trusted vendors like Supabase (for secure database and authentication hosting) and Stripe (for payment processing).
  • Legal Requirements: If required to do so by law, subpoena, or in response to valid requests by public authorities, or to protect the rights, property, and safety of ScreenWell Labs Inc., our users, or the public.
  • Business Transfers: In connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of company assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business to another company.

8. Data Security and Limitation of Liability

We implement commercially reasonable technical, administrative, and physical security measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use, alteration, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. ScreenWell Labs Inc. assumes no liability or responsibility for disclosure of your information due to errors in transmission, unauthorized third-party access, or other causes beyond our reasonable control.

9. Your Data Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights under applicable privacy laws (such as GDPR or CCPA) to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data. You may update your account information directly within the application or by contacting us. To request the deletion of your account and associated data, please reach out to our support team.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Effective Date" at the top. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
